The United States of America are proud to be a country of immigrants. However, far more people from certain countries, e.g. Mexico, China and the Philippines are coming to the USA than from most of the others accumulated. In order to maintain a diversity in the population, US laws regulate immigration from particular regions of the world. Since the early 1990s the US government has granted 55,000 greencards annually through the Diversity Visa Program which is the official name of the annual greencard raffle. The selection of the Greencard winners is a random procedure. The number 2005 in the DV Program represents the American fiscal year starting on October 1st, 2004 and ending on September 30th, 2005. It will be during this same period that the winners receive their greencard. The time frame Then follows a period from November till around April during which all applications are registered electronically. A random computer program will then select the lucky winners of a greencard. All our clients will be informed of their personal result in May or June of the next year. The winners need to fill in a few more forms and have to send them back to the State Department before a personal interview is scheduled at the US counselate or INS office which is closest to your home town. Between October 2003 and Sept. 2005 you may enter the United States for the first time as a greencard holder. Of course we will guide you (for free) through the process! The diversity visa program is subject to annual review
by the US Senate: Therefore decide quickly, this lottery could be the
last one!
